How to make a homecoming mum?
Making a homecoming mum is a long ago tradition that now has come about again. They are made to be large and show the school colors as well. You would want to gather together various items you would like in size and colors. Lots and lots of ribbon and tule are a must! Now it’s time to heat up the old glue gun and have at it! Start with a round of cardboard about 6 inches across, the color won’t matter as the entire piece will be covered. Glue some ribbon around the cardboard edges to start off the mum and just continue till you have the entire piece covered. Now glue the long ribbons onto the back that will trail down the mum. You will want to glue a ribbon that will be able to allow the mum to hang around the neck. Really anything goes with these, you can add a small stuffed animal that maybe is the mascot for your school, gems or even silk flowers (mums). Good luck and may your team win!
