How to make a Deputation to Council?

0

A person wishing to make a deputation to Council should contact the Clerk’s Office (705-526-4275, Ext. 2008) no later than 1:00 p.m. on the Friday preceding the Council meeting, for inclusion on the Council meeting agenda. If written materials are to be distributed, one original copy of same must be received by the Clerk’s Office by the Thursday preceding the Council meeting for inclusion in the Council meeting agenda package. The Clerk may make a determination as to the deferral of deputations to a subsequent meeting with such determination being reasonable. Deputations shall not be received if the subject matter is of a personal and derogatory nature relating to Municipal Officials or personnel in the employ of the Municipality. Such personal and derogatory deputations will be dismissed forthwith. There is a ten minute limit on all deputations.
