Generally speaking, you will lose muscle mass from lack of exercise. I went for about 20 years without much exercise and lost some. I also lost a lot in my general health in that lost time. I do not think that is really what you want and certainly you do not want to wait 20 years either. You may want to try to balance your muscle development more by doing more work on your upper body. That will take time but will help you in anything where you must do lifts. The other way to go about exercise is to go to very high reps to bring about better tone and endurance. A lot of cardio will help you with your general health and loss of mass generally. It sounds like you are doing enough of this on your legs now. You really should not be ashamed of having a strong health body.
