How to link to another article or a resource item?
StageDoor has a direct access URL feature. This feature allows you to directly jump to a particular item in a resource with the top and side frames loaded correctly. Here’s how it works: To jump to the Knowledge Base home page http://stagedoor.totallyhip.com/direct.asp?TOPIC=KBase To jump to the LiveStage Knowledge Base home page http://stagedoor.totallyhip.com/direct.asp?TOPIC=KBase&RESOURCE_ID=2 To jump to the LiveStage Knowledge Base article# 274 http://stagedoor.totallyhip.com/direct.asp?TOPIC=KBase&RESOURCE_ID=2&ITEM_ID =274 The above works for the following topics: • KBase • Resource • FAQ • Search • HelpDesk • Account In the case of FAQ, HelpDesk and Account, the RESOURCE_ID indicates the Nth item in the sidebar. Thus “?TOPIC=HelpDesk&RESOURCE_ID=1” would point to the Bug Reporter. Another way to have a direct access link to the article, is to first view the article or the resources item and click on the title hyperlink, this opens a new browser window with the direct URL.
