How to install roll roofing?
To install roll roofing, snap a chalk line 35-1/2 inches from the eave to serve as a guide. Run the first sheet along the chalk line, allowing 1/2 inch to hang over the eave. Before nailing, make sure sheet is straight because puckers in the sheet can’t be fixed afterward. Nail edges using galvanized nails every 3 inches and apply roofing cement at the eaves to secure. Continue each row by snapping a chalk line 2 inches from the top of the first sheet and spread roof cement within that top 2 inches. Roll the next row same as the first using chalk line as your guide. After both sides are done, cut a 12 inch wide piece of roll roofing the same length as the ridge. Snap a chalk line 6 inches below the ridges on both sides and apply roofing cement to the ridge down to the chalk line on both sides. Lay the cut sheet down and nail the edges. Trim the edges using a utility knife and you are finished! You can find more information here: http://www.articleclick.
