How you install it will depend on whether you install the base so that you can snap the seat in and out of the car, or if you install the seat and leave it in the car. If you install the base, place it on the seat where you want it to be. Make sure that it is positioned with the correct side facing the back of your car. Usually this is labeled, but if you can’t tell, snap the car seat onto it so you can figure out which direction it goes. The base has labeled paths for your seat belt to go. Push the base up firm against the back of your back seat and thread the seat belt along the belt path. You’re going to be buckling the base onto the seat. Once you’ve got it buckled you can push down on it, tighten the seat belt, and use the locking clip to make sure the seat belt doesn’t give. Then you can snap the base in and out.
