How to install basic router with Verizon Wireless internet access?

I have Verizon wireless internet access for my desk top computer, and I want to install a basic NetGear WGR614 Wireless G Router so that I will have internet access from my laptop while in the house. Current wiring: Antenna coax into Verizon USB720 modem with USB connector coming out of the modem (This modem is no more than a replacement for the Verizon cards people use to get Verizon wireless on their laptops, but it does have a USB cable out which is handy for a desktop plugin application.). The USB from the modem goes into a multiport USB desktop hub which in turn is plugged into my desktop with a USB cable. Everything works fine, but I have no access to the internet for my laptop. How do I wire the Wireless Router which does not appear to have any USB hubs into this configuation? NetGear “Help” seemed to think I needed a modem from Verizon, but Verizon says I already have a modem, the USB720.
