How to import in iPhoto an existing Picasa Web Album at full-size?

There is a working solution that involves many steps. The basic trick is to start online from the desired Picasa Web Album, and copy the “RSS” link displayed on the right side of the page (that assumes that the owner of the album has actually allowed this option on their account, otherwise you are out of luck!). Then in iPhoto, execute the command “Subscribe to Photo Feed” (under “File” menu) and paste the link in. Then select the subscribed photos and copy them to the iPhoto library.
