The hump on their head also known as their kok isn’t always a sex indication. A low grade male may never grow a kok and a high grade female can show a kok. However male usually have a noticable kok (hump) on their “forehead”. Usually the male’s dorsal and anal fins will be longer and sharper v shaped and the females will be shorter and rounder. Males are also usually thicker broader bodies. These are not fool proof methods. If you had a picture I could have helped you more with what sex you have. The best way to figure out the sex is by venting.
