How to identify ROHS and non ROHS version of PICDEM2 Plus demonstration board?
Either of the following difference or enhancement should help the user to identify whether the board you have is RoHS or Non – RoHS version. a. Red colored PCB board is non ROHS version and Green colored board is ROHS version. b. If the marking on the board mentions copyright “Year 2000”, then this board is non ROHS version and “Year 2006” is mentioned for ROHS version. c. Turn the board over, see the back for sticker and make sure that Pb free symbol sticker is printed on RoHS board or not. d. If the revision of the board is R7 or higher, then this board is ROHS version. e. If the PICtail connections are provided in general purpose area, then this board is ROHS version. f. A 28 pin SOIC solder foot print is added in general purpose solder area for user evaluation in ROHS board g. Resistor R12, R13, R20 and Q2 components are placed at center bottom of LCD module in ROHS board.
