How to I build a specific unit that dose not exit in the database?
Fist, make sure you have searched the data very carefully, there are over 3,000 units in the database and some of the names might not be the one you are expecting. Use the string search (the binoculars icon) to search for key words or parts of words that might be in the units name. If you have to build a unit, the best method is to select a similar type unit and use that unit as a surrogate, even if the name/mission is not the same as the unit you want. Edit the Description/Functional Category box for the unit to record how the unit is being modeled. An example: Use a CONTRACTING TEAM UNIT (Navy) of 10 personnel to model a small legal team. Another method to model a unit that does not exist is to use a fraction of an existing unit. Do this by selecting the unit and the editing the # Units or the Personnel Strength per Unit boxes on the unit description. An example: Use .25 of an infantry company to model an infantry platoon.
