How to hook up a surround sound and blu-ray player together?

Well number one…you didn’t need the 5-disc player because a Blu-Ray player back converts and plays all DVDs. Unless it is a built in receiver with the surround sound outputs. If it is you need to go HDMI to the receiver input from the Blu-Ray and hopefully it has HDMI switching capabilities. The receiver should play whatever inputs you are sending in to one HDMI output. Otherwise you just need to buy a different receiver and the Blu-Ray player and let it play all your movies.
