You should really be more open minded when it comes to firearms, you stated that your boyfriend may be on board with the idea even if you are not. With that said I can’t stress the importance of being properly trained enough, and I don’t mean going to the range one time and then putting it in the closet to collect dust. I mean a real qualified instructor, I know you have no desire to learn to use one, but remember the possible consequences of not being able to defend yourself. If you do a Yahoo! or Google search, you can find a company in your area that offers such training. If by chance you live in Nevada there is a company called Frontsight that offers firearm training courses that exceed police and military standards. You can call law enforcement and make a complaint anonymously. They will probably take him to a shelter or tell him to move on. Second, perhaps you should not be opening the door when you don’t know who is on the other side. Use a peep hole or look out a window to determine if it’s safe to open the door….particularly if you are home alone. If you see that it is the homeless guy, don’t answer the door. Eventually he will knock on someone else’s door. He’s probably seeking you out because your boyfriend gave him something to begin with.

Call the police with your concerns.They will probably tell you there is nothing they can do now,but not to answer the door next time,but call them if he returns.You should apprise them of your situation so they will have it on record and maybe put a little more police presence in the neighborhood.
