How to grow the plant named Caladium hortulanum?
Caladiums do well in partial shade. They love a moist humid environment. “Constant moisture” is what the card said when I bought them as young seedlings. I have a bed of caladiums around the base of a shade tree where they get mottled light. When I water, I also spray water up into the tree so it drips down onto the plants and creates a humid environment. They are actually very easy to grow and do well in any potting soil mix. Feed them modestly. No fancy treatment needed with these simple yet beautiful plants; just lots of water. Don’t let them dry out or it will stunt their growth.
