Step away from the PC. I am here to help you…. Color is listed in numbers 1 being BLACK all they way to 12 which is light blond. Now what you think is black is actually a dark brown. A nice medium to light brown will even you out from root to ends. I have to tell you this I am a colorist and in all honesty you can come to one of us and get it done right and well for like $25., really it is alot easier for you to take over than for you to get it right out of the gate.Going with a semi-permanent will give you alot of safety leeway and give you options to go with other colors.
