How to get Sanya, Hainan Island by Train, Bus, Ferry or Flight?
for now, there are four ways to get Sanya from outside of the island:
Bus
Though you could travel to Sanya by buses from some mainland cities of China, but it is really a tiresome and long journey. Therefore, it is not recommended to tourists. However, if you are in Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Island, you may choose this option ( In the bus station, you can find buses going to Sanya every 20 minutes. Ticket price is 79 yuan . Travel hours: 3.5 hours). Make sure that you buy the tickets of the first-class bus to ensure a comfortable trip.
Train
Everyday, there are regular departures from Beijing (T201/204, departure time 18:10, travel hours: 35 hours), Shanghai (K511， departure time 09:50, travel hours: 36.5 hours), , and Guangzhou (K407, departure time 21：25, travel hours: 15 hours and a quarter) to Sanya. Though this isn’t the fastest way to travel, it’s a greener mode of transport than driving or flying. However, you will get an opportunity of enjoying the amazing views en route or relish the extra time it takes, For travelers with ample time and want to see more scenery on the way, this is a good choice. The bonus is experiencing the cross-straits train ferry from Xuwei, Guangxi Province to Haikou, Hainan Island.

Flight
Most of the visitors arrive in Sanya by flights. In fact, this is the most convenient way. There are many flight connections between major cities in China and Sanya. Call the airline ticket booking services (dial +86 0898 114, and then press 6 for English service). You can also log onto the English webpages of the major airline companies (China Eastern Airline, China Southern Airline, Hainan Airline) in China and book your tickets in advance . There are also regular direct flight connections from Moscow, St.Petersburg, Новосиби́рск to Sanya.

It is also very convenient to go from the airport to the city center. You have three options.
Option A is to take the No. 8 Bus at the gate of the airport. Ticket is 4 RMB per passenger.
Option B is to take a coach at the gate of the airport and go to Jiefang Yi Road in the city center. Ticket is 15 RMB per passenger.
Option C is to take a taxi to the city center, the price should be around 30 RMB.
