These stains are removed by applying some oxidisers: bleach (12-15% is best, household bleach is about 6%) or hydrogen peroxide (about 35% if possible), on the stain, using such sorbents as sepiolite, talcum, gypsum. The best procedure is as follows: spread a layer of sepiolite on to the stain to cover twice the surface of the stain and add oxygen peroxide to form a paste. Leave for a few hours or until dry. Repeat by adding new sorbent until the stain disappears. If the stain is on a vertical surface, mix the sepiolite with the oxygen peroxide and apply the paste with a piece of polyethylene film stuck to the surface by some adhesive tape. Be careful: oxygen peroxide may burn the skin, use rubber gloves and protective goggles. In case of accidental contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water.
