How to get rid of wild mice withouht harming pet rodents?
You can set a humane homemade trap. To make one you’ll need: A bucket Peanut butter several small empty boxes (think cigar boxes) or similar small stacking sturdy objects to create the ladder. Smear peanut butter around the top of the bucket, an inch or two from the rim. Set the bucket near a wall in the room you see the mice the most. Stack the boxes next to the bucket, but stagger them as you go to create stairs up to it. Mice LOVE peanut butter. When they smell it, they’ll climb the boxes and try to reach in to get the peanut butter. Putting it an inch or two below the rim causes them to fall in when they try. If the bucket is deep enough, they can’t climb out. Simply take the live mice and release back outside. It’s completely humane, so if your pets end up falling for the trap, they won’t be harmed either. You can also buy humane traps. They don’t kill the rodent, they simply have doors that click shut when they fall for the bait inside. Next, you need to prevent more from coming
