There are also home remedies for head lice which includes washing the hair with pure lemon or lime juice, Listerine plain mouthwash or a shampoo made from 10 drops of tea tree oil and 16 ounces of warm water. You can also make a paste to treat head lice by using a dozen natural almonds. These should be crushed and then a tablespoon of lime or lemon juice can be added. This can be applied to the hair and scalp and left in place for 1-2 hours. To remove this paste, simply wash your hair as normal. The more effective of these are using mayonnaise or Vaseline. These do the job neatly and are very economical to use. Many times you will have to treat the head lice infestation more than once, and always remember to remove the nits, they will just hatch and cause another outbreak if left alone. Or you could try…. shave your head or cut it short use real mayo and a nit comb also peanut butter you need to wash all your linens and bag any stuffed animals pillows ect. when washing use bleach you can use baby oil ..all of these losen the eggs that the lice will lay in your hair. but if none of them work you need some one to go thru your hair a parent or some one you can trust not to say anything and to pull them out one by one but also you might just want them to go get the lice shampoo for you and the spray for your bed and other things after you use the oily stuff you will have to wash your hair many times so it does not look greasy….
