How to get rid of dark skin pigmentation caused by pregnancy?
You don’t need to do anything, and truthfully there isn’t anything you can do. You describe what is known as “linea negra”- latin for black line. It’s related to the hormones of pregnancy, and is sometimes more noticeable in darker skin tones. Nobody knows exactly why the pigmentation should happen that way, but as a rule it does shift off in the months following delivery as the hormones return to the normal unpregnant state. Since it’s been just 3 weeks, that isn’t likely to have happened yet. In some cases it will fade a great deal, but it may not entirely go away. And unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it. Your skin formed more pigment cells in that area, and there just isn’t anything that will change that. Some doctors think there could be a relationship between the line and folic acid, so you could try taking a folic acid supplement- but you should still be taking a prenatal vitamin that contains that as well. Otherwise, just hang in there a little longer and hopefull
