How to get rid of Bermuda grass in my St. Augustine lawn?

Both are very aggressive grasses. They were more than likely put there together, because Bermuda is best for drought and Summer and Augustine doesn’t go dormant in winter as much as Bermuda does. You will have to remove your lawn all together to get rid of one or the other. Personally I would replace with a Texas red clover lawn once I went to that trouble. Looks cool and takes very little water, and you don’t have to mow if you want the red blooms to show.
