How to get into Property Management?
Hello – I have been a property manager for more than 25 years. There are several good learning institutions that you can contact like IREM, which is the Institute of Real Estate Management (www.irem.org). CPM stands for Certified Property Manager and that is the designation you could earn through IREM, and probably the most prominent designation you can achieve in property management. BOMI which is Building Office Manager’s Institute (www.bomi.org) is another good organization and you can earn the RPA designation which is Real Property Administrator. If you get one of these designations, the sky is the limit and just about any good property management firm will want to hire you quickly!
