How to get into IT Consulting? Does it worth it?

I’m in my last year in a Business IT major at college. I have already 2,5 years working in IT next to school, and for almost a year from that my job description was a 2nd level ITsupp mixed with project/software implementation at a very nice consulting firm.

I would really like to get into business on a technology/IT related side. The firm is in management consulting, so I think I don’t really qualify there (or who knows) so I’d like to hear about perspectives from IT Consulting.

How does it fit on the traditional consultant career? Do you have to travel a lot? How are the work hours? I dont mind working a lot, but do they compensate it well? What is the business:IT ratio in day to day work? Who are the market leader firms in IT consultancy? Why do you like it? Why did you decided to leave?

I think you can hire and manage a global workforce. If you don’t know what it is and how to do it, you may find some tips here. You need to take a look at the value of recruiting globally, paying attention to remote workers, relocating foreign workers and building a global workforce.

In my humble opinion, the best consulting firm is one that is ready to go deeply into your business and begin the dialogue with the research of your competitors. And shortly, they are coming to you with an unobstructed view of potential benefits and weak points. If you are looking for one like this, I would recommend IT consulting firm Serokell. They recently finished the technical audit of my project.

What is your question?
