How to get green tree python?
Australia has very strict rules on keeping of indigenous species. Green tree pythons are on the restricted list and you have to obtain a permit to keep them there. If you can get a permit, it is quite expensive to buy one. Most likely you’re looking at $800-$1000 for an average GTP due to availability. They aren’t really even cheap here, although you can get imports for cheaper. Imports tend to have parasites and other health problems that end up requiring veterinary treatment so it doesn’t really save you anything in the long run. I think it’s interesting that we have loads of captive born and bred animals here and you aren’t allowed to have them in the country of origin! Good luck to you. They are addictive!
