How to get car ready for MOT?
most testers will look at car and say has this car been looked after, so clean car up inside and out do not leave stuff in boot you can refuse to test car because of that. And again check oil levels washer levels etc.doors and boot and bonnet all open, check seat belts all work clip in place pull them right out they should go back easy and fairly quick. check operation of lights and do washers and wipers work well (front only counts ) the mot test is minimum standards so unless your car has unsafe things on it should pass. i would be more in kind to look at the car when i mot cars and think this person looks after their car its helps when mot ing the car than if car was in state i would think well yes this could be a good one and look that much harder at stuff on the car because its more likely that a person who spends out on servicing etc will have a car in better mechanical nick then a person who does nothing and relies on the mot for their car.
