How to get Better At guitar solos?
I’m a guitar player as well and I had the same problem. What you need to do is practice doing four notes on each string starting at the bottom E working to the top E so that you can instantly switch string without doubling a note.Ignore the left hand if you want because the picking is more important here. Practice how to play each scale as fast as you need, making sure that your left and right hand are in perfect synchronisation, so that you aren’t playing a note twice or hitting a bum note. If you’re doing metal solo’s, the best scales to use are probably the Minor Pentatonic and the Mixolydian. Make sure when you’re soloing not to just go up and down these scales, mix them up, tap in notes, use the notes in the scale to make a chord, just make sure more than anything that the scale you are using will correspond to what the other instruments are doing, mainly the bass and rhythm guitar, so that you aren’t playing notes that sound discorded.
