How to get “beach cottage” look with black bedroom furniture?
My bedroom is very similar to what you are describing. I love it and anyone that’s seen it is equally impressed. It can be done. Consider black and white dramatic ocean scenes framed in black or white. While black doesn’t bring to mind the ocean for most of us, remember, there are islands with black beach sands. Maybe add some reddish coral color to to the room as well in the form of bed pillows or a throw blanket. Make sure your window treatments are light and airy. That really is the key to an ocean theme, open, light and airy. Don’t clutter the room with too many items, keep it simple. I personally think it will look great. I too have an ocean themed room.
