How to find top usability/GUI website design firms?
I have a rather complex add-on to an existing website that I need to built, which involves presenting dozens of options in a logical, practical format to allow customers to custom-build their orders. Rather than tackle this myself as I have done in the past, I am looking for top online usability/GUI website firms who can do a needs assessment, create the necessary workflows, wireframes and design mock-ups, which I’ll then turn over to my coders to implement. I’ve done some initial research and there are lot of people who claim to do this, but when I look at their websites, they are poorly designed from a usability perspective, which makes me doubt their expertise.
