How to file a restraining order?
Restraining orders are obtained at the Torrance Superior Court, 825 Maple Ave., Torrance (310) 222-8801. Go to the 5th Floor of the courthouse to an office outside the far north courtroom. Staff there will assist you. Office hours are 8:30am – 4:00pm Mon-Fri. No police report is required to file a restraining order. Office hours are 8:30am-4:30pm Mon-Fri (Office is closed 12:00pm-1:30pm for lunch). For all other Restraining Orders, go to the Domestic Violence Clinic (310) 419-6788 located on the 2nd Floor.
