To calculate gas mileage you will need to know your vehicles gas tank capacity. With this, travel to the gas station and fill up. Once you are full, clear your trip odometer to zero. With your trip odometer clear, simply, drive around until need to fill up again. When you do, write down you odometers trip and then divide the number of gallons in your gas tank by the miles traveled. That will be your gas mileage.
