How to fabricate motorcycle parts using fiberglass?
pretty labor intense but here we go first you need to make your plug, which is a replica of what your making, wood and bondo work well as there easy to shape, then you’ll need to paint it with a gel coat or automotive grade paint,as this is what the final product will look like next, spray release agent onto the plug and let dry, dont get runs as they will show in the mold, then spray with gelcoat and let dry, then lay fiberglass over that and reinforce with wood to keep it rigid, let dry, give it a shake and a few taps and separate the two pieces, throw away the plug, and spray the inside of mold with release agent,remember no runs! spray with gelcoat, and lay up glass, ta da finished product!!
