How to extract Japanese words from a JPEG image file?
I have several JPEG files which are contenting some Japanese words / characters, I would like to extract the Japanese words and then paste them to the translator then translate them into English. I tried “Recognize Text Using OCR” on Adobe Acrobat Professional, unfortunately, my Adobe does not have “Japanese OCR Language”, therefore, I could not do the conversion. Please help. There’s a Japanese version of Adobe Acrobat, but I’m not sure if that will give you what you need. The problem with Kanji is that they can take on different pronunciations and meanings depending on how they’re used and where they fall within a word. The easiest thing would be to find someone who will do the translation for you. The next best bet would be to pick up a Kanji Dictionary and find the Kanji that way. I recommend the “Kanji Learner’s Dictionary” by Jack Halpern because it logically groups the Kanji into sections based on how they’re written and makes finding them very easy.
