How to expunge a juvenile arrest record?
Although laws governing the process of expungment of juvenile arrest records differ in each US state, the process is quite similar. The first thing a person with a juvenile arrest record should know is that their record will not be automatically cleaned after they have reached legal age (an age of 18 or 21, depending on the state). They must initiate this by visiting the local probation center and asking for their records to be cleaned. Juvenile arrest records can be cleaned without the help of an attorney as long as you know the information required to complete the expunge forms. You will be asked for the case number, the date of the conviction, the code of the violation you have convicted in doing, information about the sentence and in case you were sentenced to a correction facility – the name of the institution, the date of admission and release.
