How to execute a Silent Uninstall of BI Query User?

Answer Please note that in order to use a silent uninstall, the directory on the PC you are “silent uninstalling” from must be the same structure as the original uninstallation where the setup.iss and the silent.ini were created. To create the setup.iss and the silent.ini Make sure that BI Query User is installed. In a command prompt enter the path to the setup.exe of BI Query User with the -r flag at the end. For Example: “C:\BI-Suite\User\setup.exe” -r OR “\\ANetworkComputer\BI-Suite\User\setup.exe” -r This will create a response file in your system directory (C:\WINNT is the default for Windows NT and Windows 2000). Move the setup.iss and the silent.ini to the same directory as the setup.exe. In a command prompt enter the path to the setup.exe of BI Query User with the -s flag at the end. For Example: “C:\BI-Suite\User\setup.exe” -s OR “\\ANetworkComputer\BI-Suite\User\setup.exe” -s This will tell Install Shield to use the setup.iss and the silent.ini if they exist.
