How to erase grout from unsealed travertine tile?

Our plumber tiled our bathroom with travertine tile, didn’t seal it and next used sandstone grout which stained the wholesome and beautiful tile an unsightly green. We’ve tried using fragile cleaning solutions however the stains aren’t arrival up. Would we use anything more active and aggressive that may harm the shine and next polish the stone seperately.
