How To Enter Trig Functions In To Calculator?

0

Like most scientific calculators, yours have functions that can be used by pressing first the INV key. Most keys (in my calculator, all of them) not only have one function but even two or three functions associated with them. Now, in your problem, you are supposed to take the arctan of 15/27. Arctan is associated with the tan key but in order to use it you would have to press first the INV key followed by the tan key and then enter your value. Today’s scientific calculators follow the natural way of writing down the function, i.e., when writing you will write first arctan then enter the value. However, there are still calculators where you enter first the value then you press the function. So in your case, enter 15/27 then INV TAN. You can verify easily how your calculator works in this particular case. Oh, by the way, I’m sure when you bought your calculator it comes with standard manual of operation. Read it to familiarize yourself with the calculator.
