How to encourage people to support the great war ww1?
I studied this in history last year, so it’s a bit fuzzy but I’ll try to remember. Back when the war started, most people were automatically enthused by the war. Young men wanted to fight because they believed that it would be an adventure and all about them turning out to be heroes. But this war was different from the wars they imagined with the cavalry coming in and saving the day. Most people supported the war at the start to show their country’s worth, and their power and to be patriotic. Also, people wanted to kill the Germans as the Government showed them to be vicious murderous animals. Of course posters, film and radio also shown everywhere which influenced their thought. But as the war continued, it didn’t appear to be what everyone imagined and views were changed and nations were split from anti-war to supportive. Ah, I just realized I went off track.
