How to educate entrepreneurial skills and innovative attitudes in Computer Science and Computer Engineering students?
During the last decade, the dynamics of the computing industry, within the United States, has changed dramatically. Many entry-level positions typically the ones that new graduates would have otherwise obtained were outsourced. However, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, the number of jobs in computing will grow about 20-30% in the next eight years. While the United States is still the leader in high-tech industry and innovation, computer science and computer engineering students must be technically strong and able to think creatively/innovatively while recognizing market needs and entrepreneurial opportunities. Additionally, new graduates must understand the challenges and nature of a global market, so that they can become high-tech world-class leaders.
