How to draw with pastels?
Pastels are a very fine colored chalk and can be used to make beautiful pictures. First, lightly sketch your drawing with a pencil or the chalk itself. Then begin to fill in with the chalk. For example, if you draw an apple, then you would apply the pastel chalk and smooth with your fingers to blend the lines and colors. You can add light, medium and dark values of chalk and blend smooth with your fingers to shade and shape the apple.
