How to do the Cha Cha and not the slide?
Stand straight up, feet together. Take a side step to the right with your right foot placing the weight on it. Rock slightly forward on your left foot and then replace the weight to your right foot. Take a small step to the left, bring the right foot to the left and take another small step to the left (cha-cha-cha) Rock slightly back on the right foot and then replace the weight to your left foot.Tak a small step to the left, bring the right foot to the left and take another small step to the left (cha-cha-cha) Take a small step to the right, bring the left foot to the right and take another small step to the right (cha-cha-cha) It sounds like this: Side, rock step, cha cha cha, rock step, cha cha cha, rock step, cha cha cha – repeating the rock step, cha cha cha over and over. That’s the cha cha side basic.
