How to do highlights at home using a cheap bottle of hair dye?
I do it all the time and it works fine. Pull out the pieces you want to highlight and apply the dye. Wrap them in foil. I have my daughter do the back when she is here. If she’s not I pick a piece from both sides closest to the back to where I can still see what I’m doing. I’ve never had it go wrong yet. On the top, I do both sides at the same time so that they line up and are even.If you are doing underneath, you need to do that first. Pull the top of your hair on top of your head with a large clip while you do underneath. I’ve been doing my hair this way,for years and years. I almost never go out, that someone doesn’t just randomly come up and tell me that I have beautiful hair. If you lived here, I’d show you how. Don’t be afraid to try. I use the cheap Revlon Colorsilk. I used to use Preference and the Revlon works just as good. I just miss the little tube of conditioner that you get with the Preference.Good luck! P.S.
