Set the following registry value to disable Auto-Insert Notification with RegEdit.exe (Open the windows Start menu > select Run > enter regedit > click OK): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Cdrom/Autorun=0 Windows 98/ME: 1) Open the ‘Control Panel’ and click on ‘System’. 2) Select ‘Device Manager’ tab. 3) Click on the CD-Rom icon.
