Bamboo is one of the most difficult things to kill or destroy. It can be very frustrating to have it creeping into your yard. One method to kill it is to use herbicide. You will need a bucket of herbicide, a brush and a pair of cutting shears. You will cut the babmboo shoot six inches from the ground. Then you will immediately paint it with the herbicide. You want to make sure the herbicide goes into the shoot. The reason you must paint the shoot immediately (within 15 seconds) is that the shoot has sap in it.
