How to delete paid collection from my credit report ?

Well the truth is that as long as it is a valid entry, you CAN NOT simply dispute it to have it removed. Doing so is considered a frivolous dispute and the CRA’s will make note of this on your report. You can dispute it if it is NOT your debt but since you paid the debt, you therefore acknowledged the debt as being yours. Under the Running of Reporting Period – Section 605 [15 U.S.C. ยง 1681c] this paid off collection will remain reported for a total of 7 1/2 years from the date of delinquency. The date of delinquency still refers to the original delinquency with the original creditor, regardless of when the collection agency began working the debt. This includes debts that have been bought by a collection agency. Collection agencies cannot legitimately “re-set the clock.” Hope this answers your question.
