How to create spatial index for improving map-displaying performance?
– There are two methods of creating spatial index. – Method 1: Create it on computer based on Microsoft Windows. • • Download QIXMaker.exe to the folder containing map data files. • • Then double-click QIXMaker.exe to run it, if there is free space on disk, spatial index for each map data file in the folder and subfolders will be created automatically. – Method 2: Create it on smartphone. • • Start Map2Nav on smartphone, open menu “Options>Help>Help” to open help. • • Refer to “How to add maps” to add map data files into map list. • • Refer to “How to improve speed of displaying map” to index all maps. – Which method is preferred? • • “Create spatial index on computer based on Microsoft Windows” is preferred. Even if the map data file is very large, the spatial index can be created successfully. • • “Create spatial index on smartphone” is used only when you can’t have computer based on Microsoft Windows available.
