How to create an entry in the routers VoIP Dial Plan ?
Firstly, what is the Vigor’s Dial Plan ? The Vigor’s Dial Plan should probably be called “Phone Book”. It allows you to store up to 60 frequently called numbers, and to give each a convenient quick-dial code number. It is similar to the abbreviated dial or quick dial numbers you have probably encountered at work or on more sophisticated phones at home … but its main advantage is allowing you to call alphanumeric SIP address using the telephone’s keypad. How does it work ? Once entries have been placed in the Dial Plan, you simply press the digits of the “Phone number”. The Vigor will look through the Dial Plan entries, and if a match is found it will call the associated SIP address or IP Address. For example, the user presses “5 0 3 #” to make a voice call to user “SIP:nbs_support@hotmail.com”.
