BBQ Ribs Cut the ribs into serving sized portions, i.e. 3 or 4 ribs each. Par-boil them in a large pot of water, that has been spiced. I stick cloves through bay leaves into a large onion & put in the pot. Simmer for at least 1/2 to an hour, then remove them to grill. You can finish them on an indirect charcoal grill; or in a 350F oven, cover with foil; the goal is to brown them without drying out. Timing will depend on thickness & meatiness, allow an hour. Brush with BBQ sauce during the last 15 minutes, do not burn.
