1. In this example, we will be configuring the Multiple Inbox tool inside of Gmail Labs. (For enabling Multiple Inboxes, please refer to “How to enable “Multiple Inboxes””.) 2. Navigate to your Inbox, then click on the Settings link. 3. After getting into Settings, click on the Multiple Inboxes tab. 4. After clicking on the Multiple Inboxes tab, you will see 5 panes, 0-4 that you can customize by a search string. In this example, I want all my unread from my inbox to be at the top of my window. 5. After inserting the search string you would like separated, at the bottom of that page, there are 2 more options. You can allocate how many emails you would as a maximum to be in each pane, and where to display the panes. Make your selections, and click “Save Changes”.
