How to clean a kitten bottom and bits of its fur?
Find some old terry towels. Put one down on a flat surface (side of the sink if you can), fill up the sink or a large container with warm water (not hot, try for body temp)–no soap. Use one of the terry towels and dip it in the water, wipe the kitties bottom. Keep doing this. Use the damp towel like a mama cat would use her tongue to clean the baby. Keep changing what part of the towel you dip so you can have a clean place to use. If the stuff has crusted on, it may take a while to soften it up. Hold the kit still gently (it’s a baby with easily breakable bones so be careful). After a while it’ll probably relax and begin to enjoy the attention. You might not be able to get it all off but you can most of it off. Keep the kit warm during the whole thing and after as he dries.
