How to choose between Soldering or Crimping versions ?
Choosing from one option to the other depends on your habits and on the volume of connectors you do wire : – If you are experimented in soldering and need to wire just a few Socapex, choose the solder version. – If you do have a lot of Socapex to wire and wish to save money on the cabling, choose the crimp version.Crimping also provides you with repeatability of the termination, not depending on whom is terminating.A crimp termination is more robust than a solder one, quicker to realise but need tooling. The Socapex SL61 range and the rectangular C146 are available either with solder or crimp contacts.
